PETER RIGAUD / STERN HANS ZISCHLER
Peter Rigaud had the opportunity to meet Hans Zischler who turns out not just to be this great, internationally renowned German actor but lately turned his passion for nature studies into a fascinating project. With the help of an old suitcase of a german scientist who lost this collection at the beginning of WW2 he goes on a journey through history to explore a hobby that has been existing for many centuries now and still fascinates a lot of people: collecting butterflies. Zischler found the collectionin in the archives of the nature study museum in Berlin and soon decided he’d have to make something out of that. Together with a young illustrator named Hanna Zeckau they managed to transmute all those colorful butterflies into a literary suitcase called “der Schmetterlingskoffer”.
