“Homage: Remembering Chernobyl” is the culmination of a three year project by 2010 Lucie Awards International Photographer of the Year Jim Krantz. Inspired by a poem Krantz found in an abandoned Chernobyl home, the resulting book, film, and photographs present a haunting and bittersweet portrait of the towns, landscape, and residents of this condemned corner of the world.

“Homage” will launch to the public on April 26th, 2011 – the 25th anniversary of the Chernobyl disaster – but you are invited to take part in a special preview of the book produced for the project, featuring 100 beautiful, full-colored photographs from the project and essays by a variety of noted contributors.

Joachim Baldauf shot for the 300th anniversary of the MEISSEN Porcelain Manufactory a total of thirty photographs around the myth, the legendary history and bright present of Meissen porcelain.
Albrechtsburg Castle, home to the Meissen manufactory for many years, and its cathedral neighbour are the focus of 30 motifs, where the past and present of the white gold cross paths in highly symbolic images and scenes.

The exhibition opens may 15th, 2010 at the Albrechtsburg in Meissen. The show will run until end of october and an official catalogue is recording the images
